It is a Partnership between the IIT,Hyderabad and Carnegie Mellon University With sponsorship from the Pittsburgh Science of Learning Center and the MacArthur Foundation.
The internship program will be composed of two stages. In the first stage, students will apply to participate in a two-week winter school from December 10-22, 2009 in Hyderabad. During these two weeks, students will attend lectures that will cover research and research methodologies, tools and techniques, insights about theory and practice, and a broad overview of the field of technology-supported education. Students will participate in team projects, which will be presented in demo sessions at the end of the winter school. Students who successfully complete the winter school will be invited to apply for research internships at Carnegie Mellon University. Successful applicants for stage two will be matched with internship advisors for a summer internship at Carnegie Mellon University's main campus in Pittsburgh, USA, for summer 2010. Some financial support for the summer internship may be available.

Eligibility for Aeronautical Engineering Course
You should qualify the higher secondary examination (10+2 [Science])with Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with a good aggregate percentage.Also you should get qualified in the Joint Entrance Examinations (JEE) which is conducted by IIT's in January and May every year.

The Real Full name Of Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam is "Dr.Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam" (Tamil: அவுல் பகீà®°் ஜைனுலாப்தீன் அப்துல் கலாà®®்).He was born on 15th October 1931 at Rameswaram, in Tamil Nadu and specialized in Aero Engineering from Madras Institute of Technology.He was the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007.
Dr.Abdul Kalam was conferred with the Degree of Doctor of Science (D.Sc.Honoris Causa) by 30 universities/academic institutions. He is recipient of several awards including the Indira Gandhi Award for National Integration 1997.
Dr.Kalam has been awarded Padma Bhushan in 1981, Padma Vibhushan in 1990 and BHARAT RATNA in 1997.

Elinor Ostrom is an American political scientist. She was awarded the 2009 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, which she shared with Oliver E. Williamson, for "her analysis of economic governance, especially the commons".
This year's Nobel Economics Prize, given to two American scholars (Oliver E. Williamson & Elinor Ostrom) who have made great contributions to the new institutional economics (NIE), is more a merit of the past, said a Washington economist on Monday.
